Closer to the Finish Line

The past couple of weeks were exciting for me. I enjoyed getting to see my final product come together and look back on how far I’ve come from the beginning of the year. I was also very happy that my mentor and I’s results were submitted to TDCommons. I helped my mentor to write a paper, which is now available on arXiv. This is very fulfilling to me because I wanted my results to be good enough to write a paper over them, and that happened for me by the end of the year. I have also been busy with lots of preparation at the same time. I have my national exam for Chemistry Olympiad this Saturday, and I am pretty stressed about the lab practical portion. That competition is making me miss part of DECA ICDC, which I also have to pack and prepare my presentation for. Plus, now I’m working on an SAT bootcamp with Schoolhouse. Hopefully I’ll find time to get everything done. Even though there’s a lot to do, I’m also excited about Final Presentation Night. Dr. Tao might be there virtually or in-person, and he said he might share my invitation with another student. I’m overall really happy with how far I’ve come, and I’m looking forward to finishing strong.
