Last week, I finished up my final product and prepared for Final Presentation Night. It was satisfying to finally finish the poster and send it off to be printed. It was also relieving to have completely assembled my binder in advance of the night before its due date. On the other hand, my final speech isn’t quite ready, and I’m not particularly looking forward to working it up. However, my preparation for Wakeland FPN will most probably be helpful before I present at my research showcase at Yale.
Over the long weekend, I went to a meetup for Yale students and enjoyed meeting alumni and future classmates. I also went to an Indian classical dance recital: one more way for me to engage with the arts in Frisco. I still have quite a bit of work to do before my trip and before AP exams, but I believe I can make it happen with some persistence and good luck.
Now, having finished my event programs, I just need to affix my poster on a board and distribute invites before I focus completely on my speech. I’m certainly thankful to be extending my original work presentation rather than writing a new one from scratch. Overall, for this upcoming week, I’m looking forward to getting ready for FPN!
