Last week, I went on a mentor visit and continued to work on my final product. Leaving school to go visit SMU was nice, and this time, I went through the maze of Heroy Hall to see Professor Tao, whom I shared my results with. I hope to continue to work with his research group—the work I’ve heard about so far has been interesting. I haven’t made very much progress with my actual code in the past, but I have been studying for USNCO instead. I haven’t heard an announcement about the local exam, but I’m continuing to work through practice tests, and I’m excited that I’m seeing progress.
This week, I’m looking forward to our etiquette meal at The Common Table because it’s nice to have a break from school. Hopefully, I’ll also work on my toxicity model and get to update my digital portfolio. I’m happy that’s we have a four-day week followed by a four-day weekend, but next week is going to be very busy for me. Not only is there Research Showcase (which I’m really looking forward to), but also Orchestra UIL and DECA State. There will be a lot to make up, but it’ll be a fun week.
