Last week was my first week of second semester—thankfully only four days long. I have one new class: AP Macroeconomics, and I’m enjoying it so far. I’m even more happy that I don’t have Calculus III to self-study this semester, and I’m very thankful that the ISM Original Work speeches were pushed back to February.
This three-day weekend (happy birthday, MLK) almost felt like a return to Winter Break, though I did get one college interview in. While I was preparing for it, I felt thankful for the advice I’ve received in ISM Business Symposium and, more generally, for my interviewing experience. The long weekend felt great for my state of mind, but not so much for the work I was supposed to do. Next week will be busy with DECA Districts, the ISM gallery walk, and UIL Solo & Ensemble. I hope to prepare as much as possible this week, though that will take some determination to do along with my other responsibilities. I’m looking forward to meeting with my mentor tomorrow, and I plan to discuss my original work and narrow down what I’ll do for my final product. I will also need to finish my display board as soon as possible—here’s hoping for a productive and smooth rest of January!
