This past week I updated my digital portfolio and completed an interview for ISM. I really like being able to see over a year’s worth of content on my website because I get to see exactly how far I’ve come.
On Friday, I went to Legacy Food Hall with my ISM class for our etiquette meal. I was really looking forward to going there and browsing the stores afterwards, but unfortunately, it happened to rain. Still, we enjoyed quality food and a great view from the third floor, and we made plans for fun etiquette meals later in the year.
As for my big news of the week, I received a very special good morning by finding out that the ADMET paper I coauthored in May was just accepted by the Journal of Molecular Modeling. After multiple rejections and requests for revision, it’s finally on its way to being published in a real scientific journal. This year, I hope to work on additional research, though maybe not a full-length paper.
This past week, I also spent a lot of time writing and revising college essays instead of my research speech, but I’m relieved to finally submit my application. Over the next several days, I hope to finish my slides and outline my script, which should be easier than last year because I’ve already spoken about my topic quite a bit.
