Spring break was a much-needed break for me. The final week of the third grading period was very busy, especially since I was leaving Friday morning. On the bright side, I went to Reedy’s Research Showcase on Thursday night and saw some of my friends—good enough for a birthday celebration for me. Unfortunately, I did not get to relax at home over the break. I was in Newark by Friday afternoon, and I spent my vacation touring colleges and meeting family friends. I liked all the schools, but my favorite was MIT, my dream school. Altogether, I saw Harvard, Brown, Yale, MIT, Princeton, and Columbia and got four books. Maybe I'll get back into reading. The weather was a little colder than I would have liked, but it was passable overall. I think I could get used to it if I moved to the Northeast. I expected to be back home Saturday night, but that same weather wouldn't allow it. Snow at JFK airport meant we missed our connection through Baltimore, so we had to find a hotel last-minute before flying to Dallas the next morning. Although a bit hectic, I’m glad I got back with some time to work on my final product Sunday night. My first day back to school saw a mentor visit where we discussed future steps and multi-instance prediction ideas. I’m happy to be back with my friends after the break, and I’m looking forward to finishing my final product!
